Those of us who believe in a future literal kingdom of God upon earth are accused of denying the present kingdom of God. Let me assure you, we know that God rules now. All those Scriptures which speak of the present kingdom, we believe.
We also believe in the Lord's prayer. We pray, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)
Do we deny that He rules now when we pray "Thy kingdom come"? Do we know what we're praying when we pray the Lord's prayer? More to the point, will the Lord answer that prayer, even though we may not know what we're praying?
The Lord taught us to pray this way. Prayed by millions through the centuries, surely He will answer it.
